The inaugural Riyadh Car Show was held between the 21st and 26th November 2019, aiming to be the largest specialist automotive car show in the Middle East. The event incorporated the Seven Concours, Global Auto Salon and is part of the Saudi Season.
The Concours element of the Riyadh Car Show featured a number of special road and competition cars provided by Talacrest amongst others, many of which have never been exhibited in the region before.
John Collins of Talacrest was approached by a good friend Abdul Rahman Al-Yemni to assist the organisers of the Concours - Seven - with the collation of a special selection of cars which would form the basis of a world class Concours.
John has been to Saudi Arabia before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and therefore when it was apparent that the event was part of the Crown Prince's 2030 vision to promote tourism in the region, John approached the task in hand with enthusiasm.
To this end, in addition to a selection of very special classic Ferraris for which Talacrest is renowned, John managed to secure the participation of a number of rare, highly valuable competition cars, including the "Green Collection" of sports racing prototypes from the veteran racing legend David Piper's personal collection.
The event was a landmark in the celebration of all things specialist automotive in the region and Talacrest was delighted to be able to lend it's support and John enjoyed meeting friends old and new at the event.
